The Dane Ramirez State Farm Agency is looking for a creative, organized, and dependable Part-Time Social Media Coordinator to help bring our agency’s personality to life online.
We want to build a recognizable digital presence that helps people get to know our agency, learn something useful, and enjoy interacting with our brand.
You’ll help create content across Facebook and Instagram through filming, editing, writing, graphic creation, scheduling, and content planning. Agency leadership will initially provide strategy and direction, but over time we want you to contribute ideas of your own.
Why This Role Matters:
Insurance is a relationship business, and those relationships increasingly begin online. We want our social presence to feel approachable, useful, relatable, professional, and occasionally fun.
You’ll help make insurance and financial topics easier to understand while also showing the people and personality behind our agency.
What You’ll Do:
- Create and publish approximately 3–5 pieces of social content per week
- Film and edit short-form video featuring the agency owner and team
- Create graphics, captions, educational posts, and interactive content
- Turn insurance topics into short, simple, engaging content
- Adapt relevant social-media trends to fit our brand
- Capture behind-the-scenes moments, community events, and local-business features
- Maintain an organized content calendar and prepare content for review
- Track engagement, reach, follower growth, and content response
- Over time, bring forward new content ideas and recommendations
The goal is not to make every post a sales pitch. We want content people find useful, relatable, entertaining, or worth sharing.
What We’re Looking For:
We care more about your ability to create strong content than a specific number of years of experience.
Strong candidates will demonstrate:
- Creative instincts and good content judgment
- Experience creating short-form video, social posts, or digital content
- Basic filming and video-editing skills
- Strong writing and caption-writing ability
- A good eye for visual presentation and brand consistency
- Familiarity with Instagram and Facebook
- Experience with Canva, CapCut, Adobe products, or similar tools
- Strong organization, follow-through, and independence
Insurance or financial-services experience is not required. We can teach the industry. A portfolio of social media, video, graphics, photography, writing, or other creative work is strongly preferred.
How We’ll Measure Success:
Success will focus on consistent quality content, an organized calendar, reliable deadlines, an efficient review process, and a recognizable agency voice. We’ll also monitor engagement, reach, follower growth, and content performance.
Work Structure:
This is a part-time position combining in-office and independent content-production work.
You should expect scheduled time at the agency for filming, photos, and planning. Editing and content preparation may offer greater flexibility. This is not a fully remote position.
Compensation & Growth:
This is a part-time hourly position. Compensation will be based on experience and demonstrated capabilities.
As you learn our business and audience, we want you to take increasing ownership of content strategy and contribute your own ideas.
For someone interested in social media, digital marketing, content creation, or brand development, this is an opportunity to help shape a growing small-business brand.
Flexible work from home options available.
Compensation: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
